The Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences [IAMAS] is a graduate school opened by Gifu Prefecture in 2001. Our goal is to contribute to the promotion of the region as well as the progress of academic culture. Our faculty engages in scholarship whose objective is to combine scientific knowledge with artistic sensibility, at the same time striving to educate high-level creators who will plumb the depths of that combination and find inventive ways to forge ahead to a new future society.
